Caledonia Forest & Stream Club

Junior Shooting Program

Welcome to the home of the new Junior Shooter Program here at the Club.  We hope to have many youth interested in our program, and that they come out and have a great time learning firearm safety, marksmanship skills, and maybe some competitive skills.

Over the summer, we'll work on safety all the time.  We'll start with a Basic Rifle Safety Course, and basic shooting positions for rifle shooting.  This will lead into practice and target shooting.  As they develop their skill, they'll be shooting for harder and harder Marksmanship Qualification levels based on the National Rifle Association's program.

We look forward to getting to know the youth, and their parents as well.  We'll be happy to answer any questions that may come up.

The Lead Instructor, Steve Jeffrey, has been NRA Certified since 1991 in Rifle, Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection.  He has been an Instructor Trainer (Training Counselor) since 1993.  He is also a Chief Range Safety Officer.

On these pages we'll have a few pictures of the junior shooters, results of their shooting, different steps they're learning, and how they are doing along the path of qualification.  As they progress, they will receive certificates, patches, and medals for their accomplishments.

We are currently running a raffle to raise money for the program. If you'd like tickets, just click to email or call Steve @ 802-535-7901.  The raffle consists of a Rossi Youth "Matched Set".  See the full flyer here.  Tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00.  Drawing is June 1st.
