Bullseye Pistol Bullseye is shooting pistol one-handed. Targets are shot at both 25– and 50-yards. A match is fifty rounds, forty at 25-yds,and ten at 50-yds. You don't have to be an expert to come join us, we have shooters at all levels. We have separate awards for junior and women shooters. Any handgun in good working order may be used: semi-auto or revolver, centerfire or smallbore. Also, your choice of open sights or a scope/red-dot may be used. No sights that project a laser may be used. Our schedule is every 1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings. We get things ready at 5:30, shooting starts at 6:00PM. Match fee is $5.00 per gun. For more information, call Ernie Hazard at 802-467-8837 or Steve Jeffrey at 802-535-7901. High Power Rifle High Power rifle is just that: shooting centerfire rifles. We offer three classes of firearms: Service, Sporter, and Open. Service weapons are military-style such as the AR-15, M1, M14, M4, etc. This is shot with open sights, with targets at 200 yards. The Sporter class is just your favorite hunting rifle, with your choice of open sights or scope. The match is a 50-round course of fire, starting with standing, then standing to either kneeling/sitting, then standing to prone, and finally prone. (Sporter class is only a 25-round course of fire) Again, women and youth are encouraged to join in the fun. These matches are open to everyone. Shooting is the last Saturday of each month, starting at 8:00AM. Match fee is $10 for one or all three events. For more information, call Bill Koptis at 802-754-2872 or Andy Fisher at 802-748-2113. International Benchrest The most precision-oriented group of shooters is right here! Matches are held in accordance to rules set out by the International Benchrest Shooter’s Association, and are on their calendar. Shooters come from all over New England to participate, with several regulars present or past National and World Record Holders! The set up for these matches are a good shooting rest, windflags to help judge any wind, and a good-flat shooting rifle! All firearms are subject to being weighed, bolts must be out of the firearms |
