Text Box: We were hoping to start a youth program this summer, but that may not see daylight as a stand-alone program.
But we certainly like to see kids on the range, receiving good instruction and safety tips while learning how to shoot. If they are past the beginning stages, keep inviting them along with you so they keep up with the sport. Too many kids are being pulled every which way in this day and age, and the more we can keep them active in gun, wholesome outdoor activities, the better they’ll turn out.
The funds raised from the raffle of the Rossi (see below) will be used to bolster something to do with youth at the club, and suggestions would be looked at.
If you have a youth shooter in your house, contact Steve Jeffrey for a Youth Shooter button for them.
Do you have a youngster looking for lessons, contact a club Director and see what can Text Box: be set up for basic firearm safety courses. Classes can be given for anyone in rifle, pistol, and general home firearm safety.
Bring them down for some shooting smallbore, plinking at paper targets or clay pigeons, or try centerfire or trap with them.
Youth are always welcome at the various competitions we have going on all summer. Bring them down and watch a match & see if they’re like to try! Maybe you would, too!
